SHANE

Shane has worked in the construction industry for 11 years. Starting his career as an apprentice in 2010, he began developing his skills on-site as well as through study, completing his apprenticeship in 2013. 

Shane then went on to work as a carpenter until 2015 where he continued to study to obtain his Builder's Licence. Upon completion of his Builder’s Licence, Shane worked as a site foreman until deciding to start his own company, Dependabuild, alongside his wife in 2019. 

Since starting Dependabuild, Shane has enjoyed working in conjunction with many different trades and has developed strong working relationships with plumbers, electricians, engineers, tilers, painters and more. These relationships give Dependabuild confidence in its quality of work, reliability and efficiency to present its clients with a strong team of tradespeople that put their client's needs first. Shane has a passion for quality building and carpentry and takes pride in ensuring his work is detailed and precise.

MATT

After a year of landscape labouring and football coaching, Matt made the decision to fulfil his passion for woodwork, carpentry and building by joining the Dependabuild team at the beginning of 2021 as an apprentice carpenter.

Matt's landscape labouring position had him assuming the role of sole-labourer within the company, which enabled him to grow an understanding of time management and experience working on a site. 

As a suitably qualified football coach and referee, Matt has been coaching young footballers for the past 4 years. His achievements in this field have allowed him to captain two football teams, his High School team as well as the Northern Tigers Representative team. These accomplishments have resulted in Matt’s ability to collaborate effectively, work within a team environment with focussed shared outcomes and have a strong sense of drive and pride within his work. 

Dependabuild is lucky to have such a strong, dedicated and focussed apprentice within the team and we look forward to watching Matt’s career grow. 

SHANNON

Shannon is Dependabuild's leading hand-carpenter. Having worked in the construction industry for 20 years, Shannon has a wealth of experience and knowledge surrounding building and construction. 

Shannon has worked in foreman positions for the past 5 years where he has managed onsite trades on a vast variety of sites with a range of services. 

Shane and Shannon first met when working alongside one another in 2016 where they developed a strong working relationship and team dynamic. Due to this, Shannon made the decision to join the Dependabuild team in 2021. His knowledge and time management skills have been a valuable asset to the Dependabuild team and we are grateful to have him on board! 

Shannon is great at what he does due to his passion and always sets achievable, high goals for himself and the people that work alongside him. 

COURTNEY

Courtney works for Dependabuild in the office, completing payroll and secretarial duties. Courtney has her Diploma of Business Services which she completed in 2012.

In 2019, Courtney and Shane got married and decided to start Dependabuild as a project together, resulting in Courtney joining the Dependabuild team in a part-time capacity to assist Shane in the management of their business.

Courtney is passionate about her work for Dependabuild as it ensures the business is maintained by the family and supports their philosophy of quality building that is transparent and honest.
